Algebra II Update for October 15, 2001

9. Journal Prompt for the Week of October 15, 2001:
Free Write (Note: Occasionally you will be given a "Free Write" prompting you to write about your current thoughts as they relate to SwS Algebra II.).

Your 1st Quarter Portfolio is due before 3:47 pm on Oct. 17, 2001.
This Portfolio should have the Checklist in the front, and then the 5 items, in order for this Portfolio, including the Complete Journal Writings (1-9). Each item should have a unique Cover Instrument (CI). In back should be the 1st Quarter Midterm Portfolio, in order. Half of your Total Grade for the Quarter in this class will come from the average of this Portfolio, and the last one. It might be wise to have me look at one or two items in your Portfolio before you finish it since we will not have the chance to correct it. All items in this Portfolio should come from the Fodder list.
Place the Portfolio IN MY HAND when you are finished with it.

You should have done the following:
- Written in your Journal.
- Turned in Practice 16 and 17.
- Finished Sections 3.3-3.4 Pages 110-112 (1, 4-7, 11-14, 16-21); Pages 119-121 (5-16, 27, 30).
- Completed Examination III Review.
- Looked at the Fodder List.

This week:

# Seeing F and C Part II.
# Go over Examination III Review.
# Take Examination Chapter 3.
# Design and Video a Linear.
# Turn in your Portfolio on or before the 17th.

Semester Tests:
December 18 = 7th period in the afternoon,
December 19 = 1st and 2nd, 
December 20 = 5th and 6th,
December 21 = 3rd and 4th.  

Please recall that each piece of work that you turn in should contain your Name, Date, Period, and What the work is called.
