AlgConn Update for the week of January 3, 2000 21. Journal Prompt for the Week of January 3, 2000: How well did you do on your plan to learn more about Algebra over the break? Why? Your 2nd Nine Weeks Portfolio was due Friday December 10, 1999. If you did not turn it in, you should do so as soon as possible. You will get a 7% reduction per day late on this grade. If you did turn in your Portfolio, when you get it back, look over it and make sure you understand why you made the scores that you did. If you think I made a mistake, let me know. You will need your Portfolio for the Spring semester, so keep it in a safe place. Calculate your Portfolio grade and email it to me if you have not yet done so. This week: # I will return the Fall Final Examination and discuss it. Attached find a list of all the scores made on the exam. Maximum points were 140. (FINAL or L5) # Write in your Journal. # Calculate your Semester average and email it to me. Attached find a list of all the Semester Averages. (SEM or L6) # We will meet in Lab 3 (Ms. Davis) on Friday the 7th. # Look at the Syllabus to check on the date that the next Portfolio is due. # If you don't have a Graphing Calculator, you need to get one. # Plan to take the AlgConn Performance Assessment this week. # Know and understand the Big 4. # Look at the new information on the AlgConn Web Page. # Please note that the announcements have a listing of which computer labs are open and when, and where you can locate Graph Links to use around the building. If you have questions or need some help, please see me, or one of your fellow students. See the Syllabus for information on how to get outside of class help. DAY -- David A.
