Your 4th Nine Weeks Portfolio is due Tuesday May 16, 2000 by 2:30 PM.
This Portfolio should have the Checklist in the front, and then the 7
items, in order, including the Complete Journal Writings (1-39). Each
item should have a unique Cover Instrument (CI). Then in the back you
should have the Purged Portfolio. Your Total Grade for the nine weeks in
this class will come from this Portfolio. It might be wise to have me
look at one or two items in your Portfolio before you finish it. Most
people now "understand" the Portfolio, so you could also check with your
classmates to see how they are doing it. Don't forget that the Ability
to Test Item must be the 4th Nine-Weeks Examination which we are taking
this week, and to get the full value of this item, which is 30% of your
grade, you must Correct the items you missed, and Reflect on why you
missed each item. All items in this Portfolio should come from the
Fodder IV list (below). Place the Portfolio IN MY HAND when you are
finished with it.

Fodder IV:
The following items qualify for use in your Portfolio for the 4th Nine
Weeks, if you have done them and turned them in to me to be graded.

Journal (writings 1-39) = Journal
4th Nine-Weeks Examination (with Corrections, and Reflections) = Ability
to Test
Your Algebraic Connections Web Page = Free Choice if you have not yet
done one this year.

This week:
# We will go over the 4th Nine-Weeks Examination and then Correct and
Reflect on it for the Portfolio.
# We will go to Computer Lab II (Mr. Hill) on Tuesday, Wednesday, and
Thursday to work on Correcting the Examination, The Portfolio, and
Reviewing for the Final.
# Continue to work on your Web Page. Remember that you must get your
topic approved by me.
# Seniors need to know where to go to take their final, you will need
access to a computer. Also, if you want to be exempt, you will need to
give me your Portfolio before you are scheduled to take the examination.
# Write in your Journal.
# Check your grades on the Grade Viewer.
# If you don't have a Graphing Calculator, you need to get one.
# Look at the new information on the AlgConn Web Page.
# Please note that the announcements have a listing of which computer
labs are open and when, and where you can locate Graph Links to use
around the building.

of class help.
