Activity Overview |
|
Students are introduced to key concepts of the Cartesian plane by
moving a point and investigating its coordinates in different quadrants
and on the axes. They will also look at the relationship between the
coordinates of a point and the distance of the point from each axis.
They explore overlaying a line on two points in the plane, and
investigate the relationships of lines, slope, and equations. The
investigation continues with parallel and perpendicular lines and their
slope relationships. |
