One of the unique features of VideoPoint is its ability to get data off of movies where the camera is panning and zooming at the same time. Often, when filming movies of sporting events, the cameraperson has no regard for us video analysis types (shame!) and freely zooms and pans in order to get the most pleasing shot. Even though this is an advanced feature of the software, it's really not hard to implement or comprehend. After getting familiar with VideoPoint, students will pick this up easily. This example will show you how to use moving origins, changing scales, fit data, and fit sections of data (zooming in on graphs). |
